Ancient Chinese currency is exceptionally rich and has long been a cherished collection and preservation item among those who love traditional Chinese culture. To meet the needs of (a wide range of ancient coin enthusiasts), we have written this small guide. The book consists of thirteen chapters, starting from the perspective of the history of Chinese currency. It first introduces barter currency and cast coins such as knives and cloth coins. The majority of the chapters focus on the round coins with square holes from various dynasties. It also provides appropriate explanations for gold, silver, iron, lead, paper, and ethnic minority currencies. To facilitate the collection of ancient coins for (a wide range of ancient coin enthusiasts), in addition to hints on identifying authenticity, the book dedicates significant attention to the characteristics of rare varieties, their existing quantities, and more.
