Features: This is a truly delightful book. It consists of simple and basic shapes, everyday objects, yet with just a few strokes, it brings forth such rich things and illustrations. It's quite surprising. If you stand in the position of a child with enthusiasm, you'll surely feel a mix of amazement and excitement. Children will say, "Wow, I can draw too!" Because every shape and object in the book is just the beginning of the imagination; it's impossible to complete it. What follows this imaginative start should be the children's own imagination—their flight and descent of thought. Thus, we might be astonished and delighted to see the creations that follow, their reasonable creations and their illogical scribbles. But as long as these scribbles come from their passion and attention, from rising inspiration and soaring, then the existence and logic of their creations become undeniable. For no matter how outstanding an individual is, how leading a nation becomes, or how perfect the world becomes, the enduring passion for imagination and the myriad inspirations that reach it are the first things. Outstanding personal stories begin this way, and great human progress is also driven by this.
This is not just a book about drawing in the literal sense. It is a holistic nurturing for the child reading it. It nurtures passion and eagerness, spatial awareness and unexpected twists, observation and the recreation of impressions, the recognition of colors and the re-creation of aesthetics, the boundless thirst for thought, and at the same time, it nurtures the initial knowledge of the philosophy of endless things. There is much more nurturing waiting to be seen in the expressions and spirits of the children who are eager to read and imagine alongside us.
In our childhood, we didn't have such reading, no such imaginative guidance, no such joy in imagination that was awakened. So, it's a real pity, something irreparable. That's why I recommend this kind of reading and joyful imagination—to let children be satisfied by this opportunity, to begin a new path of outstanding growth, and to avoid unnecessary regrets and memories in the future. This is my heartfelt intention!
