Features: The launch of Research on Ecological Office District was jointly completed by a research team composed of relevant experts from the Haidian District Government, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and other organizations. Building ecological office districts is a significant measure for sustainable development strategy, aligning with the long-term development needs of Haidian District and Beijing. The main objective is to "create a platform," specifically a headquarters economy development platform led by R&D; and to "construct three bases," namely becoming a headquarters center for international R&D institutions, a birthplace for Chinese high-tech enterprises, and a gathering place for large-scale enterprises nationwide. Currently, based on the research findings, the General Principles of Ecological Office Districts has been adopted as a local standard in Beijing, and three ecological office districts—such as Zhongguancun Software Park—have taken initial shape. The theoretical research and scientific practice of ecological office districts have fully demonstrated the correctness of the scientific development concept. While the research achievements of ecological office districts are indeed encouraging, their promotion and implementation require relentless efforts, and the theory itself must also be continuously refined through practice.
