Features: The purpose of writing this book is to provide some reference materials for everyone. Although the designs in the book still have many shortcomings, the design concepts may not be new, and the visual effects may not be good, but perhaps some ideas or details in the design can inspire your design. Today, people's lifestyles are changing, aesthetic preferences are changing, and design concepts must also change. With the continuous emergence of new decorative materials, interior design is provided with sufficient material conditions. Some things that may be beautiful today may become outdated tomorrow, which is a matter of keeping pace with the times. However, no matter how it changes, there is one principle that remains unchanged: a design must first suit the specific environment. The details designed should beautify the environment and pay attention to the reasonable use of sound, light, and electricity, as well as the contrast between different materials, focusing on the overall harmony. Through the overall design, a specific atmosphere is created, making people feel comfortable. However, many of our designs are just accumulations of materials and of designs, far from the requirements of environmental art design. This not only fails to beautify the environment but may even pollute it. When designing the environment, we must first highlight the concept of "human-centeredness," establish a sense of overall environment, and create beauty within the environment. These are the correct design concepts, and these ideas can be seen in this book to some extent.
The living room is the focal point of showcasing a space's design style in a residence because it is a public area, the center of family activities, and the place with the most practical functions, the largest area, the longest activity time, and the most frequent use in the family. Therefore, in every household, there is often an eye-catching color scheme. It has the mission of connecting the inside and outside and bridging between guests and hosts. In some families, the living room also symbolizes the host's status, position, and personality. It can reflect the life interests, hobbies, and cultural cultivation of the family members. The living room may be both a place to entertain guests and the center for the whole family to live, rest, and entertain, making it a key area for home decoration. There is no unified configuration model for the living room. Generally, there are independent configurations, as well as shared configurations with other rooms. The shared configurations may include multi-functional rooms, which are open layouts. Which form to choose depends on the family's living conditions. Of course, the design should be appropriate, suitable, and just right, reflecting the principles of beauty and practicality. The arrangement of the living room varies from person to person, and individuality should be emphasized during the design. This is because different people have different lifestyles and living requirements, and their styles are also diverse. A smooth and reasonable flow of movement is the first thing to consider when designing the living room. It not only provides a clear visual experience but also makes movement more convenient. When designing, factors such as the size of the living room, including its floor area and height, the relationship between the living room and other spaces, as well as the physical and mental conditions, activity needs, and habits of the family members, are all basic considerations for flow-of-movement design. Once the flow-of-movement design is well done, the spatial configuration can largely be determined.
