Features: This book collects a portion of the orthodontic cases completed by the Orthodontics Department of the Fourth Military Medical University Dental College in recent years, totaling 66 cases. These cases represent the treatments performed by Chinese orthodontists on domestic patients. This marks the gradual alignment of China's orthodontic clinical work with the world, with the gap narrowing. Some cases have already reached the international level of similar cases. The book is divided into four chapters. Chapter 1 explains the treatment of Angle Class I malocclusion, including the treatment of various types of crowding and spacing, as well as the use of different extraction patterns and non-extraction methods to correct dental crowding. Chapter 2 explains the treatment of Angle Class II malocclusion, including various methods to push molars distally to correct dental Class II malocclusion, the use of different extraction models to treat various types of dental and skeletal Class II1 and II2 malocclusions, as well as the use of functional appliances such as activators and fixed crossbite appliances to treat skeletal mandibular retrognathism. Chapter 3 explains the treatment of Angle Class III malocclusion, including various types of dental and skeletal open bite. Chapter 4 covers the treatment of other malocclusion deformities, including congenital tooth agenesis, surgical exposure and traction of impacted teeth, treatment of patients with craniosynostosis, and orthodontic treatment of transposed teeth, all of which provide direct guidance and reference for orthodontic clinical practice.
