This book is one of the series on Chinese painting techniques, written by the author Wang Xiaoping. Wang Xiaoping graduated from Shandong Academy of Arts and Beijing Academy of Painting. He studied under masters such as Shi Qi, Wang Mingming, and Yang Yanwen. He is a member of the China Artists Association, a full-time painter at the Calligraphy and Painting Institute of the National Defense University of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, and a visiting painter at the China Three Gorges Painting Institute and the Xu Beihong Painting Institute. His works have been awarded numerous prizes and collected by the Zhongnanhai, the Great Hall of the People, the Ministry of Culture, and overseas art institutions. He has published "Wang Xiaoping Painting Album," "100 Outstanding Masters of Chinese Painting—Selected Works of Wang Xiaoping," and the "Annual Collection of Fine Chinese Paintings 2005–2006—Works of Wang Xiaoping." His works have been selected for inclusion in various large-scale painting anthologies. This book serves as an introductory guide to the techniques of painting Buddhist and Taoist figures, accompanied by corresponding artworks for readers to appreciate.
Author Introduction: Wang Xiaoping, originally from Longkou, Shandong. He graduated from Shandong Academy of Arts and Beijing Academy of Painting. He studied under masters such as Shi Qi, Wang Mingming, and Yang Yanwen. He is a member of the China Artists Association, a full-time painter at the Calligraphy and Painting Institute of the National Defense University of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, and a visiting painter at the China Three Gorges Painting Institute and the Xu Beihong Painting Institute. In 1997, his work "Deep Autumn, Deeper Affection" was selected for the "Selection of Chinese Art," and his work "Beauty" was included in the "Chinese Modern Painting Exhibition."
