Features: Around us, many elderly friends enjoy photography as a beneficial and enjoyable hobby for their golden years. For this reason, there are photography classes in senior universities, and photography associations in large and medium-sized government agencies and enterprises. Under the shared interest, the elderly gather together to connect through photography. Photography creation is divided into three stages: The first stage is the basic stage, and the essential path is mastering photography techniques; the second stage is the improvement stage, which is the learning process of creating with photographic language; the third stage is the creative stage, where one can break free from the constraints of photography techniques and language, entering a realm of free creation. Following this pattern, we have divided this book into three parts: Upper, Middle, and Lower.
The Upper Part, "Introduction to Photography Techniques," introduces how to use traditional and digital cameras, how to expose correctly, how to take clear photos, and how to restore the colors of the subject. The Middle Part, "Photography Stylistic Language," explains how to use photographic language such as light, composition, color, tone, and texture to appropriately create an environmental atmosphere and express subjective emotions. The Lower Part, "Photography Creative Practice," selects appropriate subjects for elderly photographers as content, specifically detailing the techniques and experiences of portrait photography, landscape photography, travel photography, and thematic group photo photography. In the final twelfth chapter, post-processing work of images is summarized, covering aspects such as framing, titling, submission, and the classification and preservation of negatives.
This book is structured as a lecture divided into twelve chapters. This format considers the time and energy characteristics of elderly friends and also references the course settings of senior universities across various regions, aiming to align with the one-year, one-month-per-lecture schedule of senior universities, making it suitable for classroom teaching. The book features full-color images, large-sized text, and close alignment of text and images, avoiding long sentences and paragraphs as much as possible, all from the perspective of making it more accessible to elderly readers. Therefore, this book is also suitable for self-study. Starting from zero and gradually deepening, it introduces all the aspects of interest to elderly photography enthusiasts. We hope that this publication specifically written for elderly photography enthusiasts can meet the reading needs of the elderly readership.
