Features: Chen Tao, male, born in Henan in October 1970, entered the Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts Affiliated High School in 1986, graduated from the Sculpture Department of Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts in 1990 with a bachelor's degree, and was assigned to teach at the Sculpture Department of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts in the same year. In 1998, he pursued a master's degree while working, and obtained his master's degree in 2001. In July 2003, he was transferred to teach at the Sculpture Department of China Academy of Art. He is currently a member of the China Sculpture Association and the Guangdong Fine Arts Association. The graduate students and postgraduate students selected in this book are the top talents among numerous students from key contemporary art academies in China, and they are highly representative. This series of books only selects research works from four painting and sculpture majors—Chinese painting, oil painting, printmaking, and sculpture—as well as three art design majors—environmental art, graphic design (visual communication), and craft design (fiber art). Their works include both basic painting exercises from the undergraduate stage and research papers and works from the postgraduate stage. Readers can fully appreciate the diverse artistic personalities in their paintings and the various research directions in their works.
