The China Agricultural Yearbook is a reference book that reflects the basic conditions of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, fishery, town and village enterprises, agricultural reclamation, agricultural machinery, water conservancy, and meteorology in our country. It is published annually, with basically no repetition of content from previous volumes.
2. The contributors to the yearbook are primarily staff from relevant professional agencies and research departments. Statistical data are provided or verified by the National Bureau of Statistics and the planning departments of ministries (bureaus) such as agriculture, forestry, meteorology, and education, as well as relevant departments in all provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities directly under the Central Government. These data are first published in this yearbook.
3. The provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities are arranged in the order of administrative divisions.
4. The time boundary of the data in this yearbook is generally the end of 1998.
5. The data of each category are limited to materials from the 31 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities directly under the Central Government. The total output value of each item, unless otherwise specified, is at current prices, and the year-on-year growth rate is calculated based on comparable prices.
