The History of Chinese Art and Design
Author: Zhao Nong
Publisher: Shaanxi People's Fine Arts Publishing House
Book Description:
The history of Chinese art and design is the most rational and progressive cultural form of the Chinese nation throughout its long history. From artifacts to principles, it has served as a clear proof of the quality of human social life. In this sense, the history of Chinese art and design is the history of the Chinese people.
The research and writing of The History of Chinese Art and Design extend from this line of thought, aiming to comprehensively organize the origins and underlying meanings of artifacts in Chinese history, establish an independent discipline for the theoretical study of Chinese art and design history, and complete the transition from a cultural periphery to a cultural center. Learning from the past to understand the present, carrying forward the legacy of the past to build a future, we strive to ensure that Chinese design culture remains unyielding and flourishes.
