Major works include: 《草原牧歌》 (Pastoral Symphony) selected for the 8th National Fine Arts Exhibition; 《双虎图》 (Double Tigers) awarded the Ding Shaoguang Prize and a Silver Medal at the National Fine Arts Exhibition; 《调心图》 (Mind Regulation) selected for the 1997 National Chinese Figure Painting Exhibition; 《双雄图》 (Double Heroes) selected for the 70th Anniversary of the People's Liberation Army National Fine Arts Exhibition, winning an Excellence Award, and exhibited in Japan, Macau, and South Korea; 《童年》 (Childhood) awarded an Excellence Award at the 2nd National Chinese Painting Exhibition; 《合家欢》 (Family Reunion) awarded a Bronze Medal at the National Contemporary Bird-and-Flower Painting Art Exhibition. His work 《爱子图》 (Love for Children) was gifted as a state gift to President Kim Dae-jung of South Korea. He has published 《杜军画虎作品集》 (Du Jun's Tiger Painting Collection). This book introduces his works on painting tigers in a freehand style.
