Features: For many days, I have been wondering why the locals always call my name. Both adults and children love to call me, especially the children often chase after me, calling out my name. Do they think my name is pleasant and easy to pronounce? I couldn’t understand the reason. Today, I asked and found out that my name, "Long Dong," means "valley" in the local Tibetan language. Thank you, my name is now the gateway to Chulu Songjie. This is a unique travelogue and literary work. Its main content is the author’s travel notes from Beijing in 1999, taking a train and car through Xinjiang to the Ali region of Tibet, covering a 76-day journey. It includes experiences of hiking, riding horses, and crossing snow-capped mountains into extremely remote, isolated areas. This book can be read as pure literature or used as an accurate and vivid travel guide. Additionally, in the "Appendix" of this book, there are collected notes from the author’s five previous trips to Tibet, which are quite amusing to read.
