Features: This novel tells the story of the protagonist who falls into deep delusion in the design of an online game and becomes immersed in the virtual world, unable to extricate himself. It explores the "double-edged sword" nature of the online world and portrays the existential state and life struggles of modern people who waver between reality and illusion, falsehood and truth, confusion and clarity. In the virtual narrative and fantastical settings, readers can clearly feel the underlying genuine human care and comforting spiritual solace embedded in the story. "Water Enchantment" originates from "Internet Enchantment," which stems from various lacks in family and society. It delves into the true reality from the realm of illusion, prompting reflection. The author, in crafting a bizarre artistic world, demonstrates originality in intent and novelty in execution.
Blessed with solitude, Gu Wu, a girl who lives in a dreamlike state, immerses herself in the game "Water Enchantment" co-created with her colleague Yuan Ren. She loses her sense of normalcy. Yuan Ren, a Don Quixote-like figure searching for warmth in a desert of humanity, attempts to guide the girl out of the game's context through psychological. The loneliness, the essence of time, the helplessness of love in the face of fate, and the fleeting confusion are deeply woven into the text.
The smooth, flowing writing style, boundless imagination, subtle suspense, and self-deprecating philosophical musings leave readers unable to put the book down. The work's profound sense of compassion, powerless wisdom, and directionless enthusiasm reads both intriguingly and inevitably melancholic.
