The examination for Environmental Impact Assessment Engineers is divided into four subjects: "Relevant Laws and Regulations for Environmental Impact Assessment," "Technical Guidelines and Standards for Environmental Impact Assessment," "Technical Methods for Environmental Impact Assessment," and "Case Analysis of Environmental Impact Assessment." Candidates must pass all four subjects within two consecutive examination years if they take all four subjects; those exempted from some subjects must pass the applicable subjects within one examination year. The examination content related to laws, regulations, guidelines, and standards in the syllabus is based on the corresponding provisions of the current laws, regulations, guidelines, and standards. The syllabus categorizes the requirements for professional knowledge into three levels: mastery, familiarity, and understanding. Mastery means the ability to flexibly apply the knowledge in practical work, familiarity means the ability to understand and apply it in simple scenarios, and understanding means possessing a broad knowledge of environmental impact assessment. This syllabus is practical in nature, emphasizing the examination of environmental impact assessment professionals' knowledge of laws and regulations, fundamental theoretical knowledge, and the ability to solve practical problems. It serves as both a guiding document for the examination questions of the Professional Qualification Examination for Environmental Impact Assessment Engineers and a reference for environmental impact assessment professionals in their preparation for the examination.
