Features: Han Meilin was born in Jinan, Shandong Province in 1936. He graduated from the Central Academy of Arts and Crafts in 1960 and is currently a member of the China Artists Association. In 1980, he held a personal exhibition in 21 cities across the United States, including Boston, New York, and others. During his time in the U.S., he was awarded the Key to the City by the City of San Diego and was declared "Han Meilin Day" on October 1, 1980, in Manhattan, New York. While in the U.S., he was also invited to lecture at the Lawrence Arts Academy of Harvard University. In 1983, six of his works were selected for the Christmas cards issued by the United Nations. Since 1989, he has held personal exhibitions in over 20 countries worldwide. Last year, former U.S. President Bush specially met with Mr. Han Meilin and presented him with the only presidential tie clip used by the U.S. President, which was signed by him. Leaders and prime ministers from around the world own his artworks. Master Han Meilin's paintings and sculptures primarily feature animals and figures, inheriting and refining the cultural traditions of Chinese art while absorbing the essence of Western art. His works skillfully blend Eastern and Western artistic techniques, including realism, exaggeration, abstraction, freehand brushwork, meticulous painting, and impressionism, among others. His creations are said to have reached a realm of high, profound, and innovative beauty, combined with the artistic philosophy in his works, offering people a sense of eternal beauty.
