Features: Continuously updating and improving knowledge levels is the source of competitive advantage. The current active period of residential design is characterized by innovation. The emergence of new design theories and concepts, the appearance of new types of housing, and the promotion of new technologies all demonstrate the vitality of innovation and its contributions to residential construction. Our urban life has been constantly changing. How many people still live in houses from 10 years ago? But how to innovate is a more meaningful question. Are the current residential designs part of the correct development trajectory, creating good works? Will these homes become incompatible with life 3–5 years from now, falling behind in terms of cultural expression and the future-oriented representation of lifestyles? Our society is constantly progressing, but the act of living is tied to a fixed building. Therefore, as good residential architecture, it must have foresight regarding future lifestyles and consider the changes in future ways of living. Despite the profound and extensive Chinese culture, facing the strong impact of global popular culture, we yearn for more national cultural spirit. We must rationally view foreign development experiences, avoid blindly copying them, and conduct in-depth research based on China's actual conditions to selectively absorb design concepts suitable for the Chinese context: first, fostering neighborly relationships, where residents not only desire a good house but also neighbors to create a sense of community; second, making outdoor spaces an integral part of the entire residence, with greater emphasis on continuity in both exterior and interior design; third, emphasizing the coordination between the exterior of the residence and the surrounding natural environment. As Mr. Wu Liangyong said, "Housing environment engineering is also a very complex systematic project." Housing environment construction must meet five basic conditions: ensuring residents have adequate housing; guaranteeing health and safety; promoting harmonious development between people and urban residential environments; building ecological environments; and sustainably developing and utilizing residential resources. To meet these five conditions is not something that can be achieved overnight.
