Features: A Century-Old Venus Transit
The Venus transit on June 8, 2004, was the first Venus transit since over a hundred years, from 1882, and also the first Venus transit since humans entered the modern technological society. It can be said that before June 8, no one living on Earth had ever witnessed a Venus transit with their own eyes! The next Venus transit will occur on June 6, 2012. If that one is missed, the next one will not be visible for another 105 years.
