Publishing Date: 2005-01-01
Features: In 2004, the Higher Education Department of the Ministry of Education and the Examination Center of the Ministry of Education revised and promulgated the "Review and Examination Syllabus for the National Unified Adult College Entrance Examination." The new syllabus specified the examination subjects and review content for disciplines such as philosophy, literature, economics, education, management, law, science, engineering, agriculture, and medicine, totaling 5 volumes, published by Higher Education Press. To meet the review and preparation needs of a large number of candidates, we organized experts and professors who have long been engaged in adult college entrance examination review tutoring, as well as researchers who previously participated in the revision of the syllabus and the setting of examination questions. We promptly revised a series of review and examination teaching materials to the syllabus. This series of teaching materials was compiled based on the newly promulgated "Review and Examination Syllabus for the National Unified Adult College Entrance Examination—Associate Degree to Bachelor's Degree" by the Ministry of Education in 2004, including 8 volumes such as "Politics," "English," "Education Theory," "College Chinese," "Introduction to Art," "Advanced Mathematics (I)," "Advanced Mathematics (II)," and "Civil Law." This series of teaching materials integrates review content with examination content, not only helping candidates review and master solid foundational knowledge but also enabling them to grasp key and difficult points of the exam, improve their exam-taking skills. The arrangement of its content is completely consistent with the knowledge system of the "syllabus," fully reflecting the knowledge and ability requirements of the "syllabus" while emphasizing closeness to the actual exam, including a large number of applied and ability-oriented practice questions, along with solution guidance and reference answers, allowing candidates to achieve "learning and practice integration" throughout the learning process, promptly verify their review effectiveness, and enhance their exam adaptability and confidence. The compilation of this series of teaching materials incorporates the dedication of numerous experts, question-setting researchers, and frontline teachers; embodies the essence of modern educational concepts such as "transformation from knowledge-oriented to ability-oriented"; and reflects the overall planning concept of our publishing professionals in the compilation of examination textbooks. In recent years, adult higher education has experienced rapid development, particularly in the field of associate degree to bachelor's degree programs. To adapt to the requirements of educational development and contribute to the advancement of adult higher education, and to provide the greatest possible helpfulness to adult candidates, enabling them to adapt to changing circumstances, Higher Education Press organized the compilation of "Review and Examination Teaching Materials for the National Unified Adult College Entrance Examination—Associate Degree to Bachelor's Degree." To provide readers with an examination teaching material that is both practical and targeted, the authors of this book conducted a thorough study of the 2004 edition of the "Examination Syllabus" and followed the principle of "one adherence and two targeting" in the compilation. 1. Strictly adhere to the examination content and requirements stipulated by the 2004 edition of the "Examination Syllabus." 2. Target the characteristics of adult candidates and the basic principles of examination question setting. The basic principles of examination question setting are reflected in: this book primarily focuses on the basic knowledge, basic principles, and basic skills of advanced mathematics, avoiding complex calculations and special skill-based operations. The targeting of adult candidates is reflected in: highlighting the essential elements of basic concepts, the characteristics of basic properties, and the systematic nature of basic calculation methods, emphasizing the structural form of concepts or formulas, and providing a large number of examples to help readers achieve understanding and mastery. Each example is analyzed and explained, focusing on the form characteristics of the problem and the thinking methods for solving it. In many concepts, theorems, properties, and some examples, supplementary explanations are provided, pointing out issues that readers should pay attention to or some common characteristics of problems, aiming to guide readers in self-study and improve efficiency. The examples include advanced mathematics (I) examination questions from the national associate degree to bachelor's degree programs from 1994 to 2004, allowing candidates to understand the breadth and depth of the questions. The examples include common basic question types stipulated in the "Examination Syllabus." In examples based on examination questions, numbering is used to indicate the year and position of the question in the exam paper, such as "Question 4 from the 1998 exam" or "Question 21 from the 2000 exam," enabling readers to clearly identify the year the question appeared and its position in the exam paper. To increase the information content of the examples, multiple-choice questions are provided in the examples, aiming to train candidates to analyze each option and enhance training intensity. It should be noted that all multiple-choice questions in the entrance examination are single-choice questions. If you can identify a correct option that meets the requirements of the question in the exam, you can skip the discussion of the other options. A summary is provided at the end of each chapter, pointing out the basic concepts, basic operations, and common question types of the chapter. Synchronous practice questions are selected after each section, along with reference answers.
