Features: Since the translation of Richard Amo's humorous essays "It Was Eve's Fault" was published, it has already been fifteen years. Last year, after settling in the United States, I occasionally saw this book "It Was the Nakedness That Caused the Trouble" at McGraw-Hill Book Company in New York. I bought it and found it incredibly enjoyable. Unable to enjoy the fun alone, I decided to translate it so that everyone could share the "fun." However—let's borrow a saying from Amo—let the "trouble" fall on me alone. This book can be said to be an art history of humor. Although Mr. Amo's attitude is playful, his words are not empty talk; he has thought deeply about everything. (Re-posted)
