Features: The purpose of writing this book is to fully reflect the goal of this series of books in cultivating "IT blue-collar talents." Through learning, readers should grasp the knowledge structure of network technology, understand concepts, and focus on application. More importantly, they should master the method of continuous learning, which is learning through practice. In the beginning of the book (Chapter 1), it is hoped that readers can first step outside the technical circle and gain a relatively comprehensive understanding of the knowledge system of network technology from a "long-distance" perspective, avoiding the learning style of "blind men touching an elephant"—where each part is studied diligently, but the reader doesn't know where their learned content fits in the entire system. Then, we introduce the relevant concepts and equipment of network technology (Chapter 2, Chapter 3). This part is highly condensed "theoretical knowledge." Subsequently, in Chapters 4 and 5, we introduce the functions, features, and various network capabilities and operations provided by the network operating system Windows 2000. From Chapter 6 to Chapter 9, we gradually progress from building simple home networks to setting up internet cafes, office networks, and even enterprise networks. Chapter 10 briefly introduces the knowledge of network maintenance.
