Features: Movies are something everyone watches and loves, but it's not always possible for everyone to immediately describe their content after watching. By using various methods to guide students in verbally describing what they've seen in films, we aim to improve their Chinese proficiency. This is what we call "Audio-Visual and Listening-Speaking Teaching." It is a set of teaching materials that employs a unique methodology and won the "Third Prize in the National Excellent Teaching Award for Teaching Chinese to Foreigners" organized by the "National Education Commission's Chinese Language Office" in 1994. This textbook is the concrete application and vivid embodiment of this teaching method. It is a set of teaching materials primarily designed for classroom instruction while also catering to self-study. It is a completely new and unique oral language textbook: unlike traditional oral language textbooks that teach speaking through the study of "model texts," this one uses various engaging exercises—exercises for "watching," exercises for "listening," and exercises for "thinking"—to guide students in describing the content of the films they've seen, from simple to complex, step by step. Through the introduction of grammar and writing techniques, students are enabled to speak more vividly, accurately, and comprehensively.
