Features: Su Mai, a native of Meizhou, Meishan, was the eldest son of Su Shi. He was skilled in writing. The collection "Guxi Ji" mentions that the "Dongpo Tie" was created by his son Mai. It is also quite delightful. The sons of the Su family share the same origin but differ in style. Each has extraordinary qualities. Su Mai was born in the fourth year of Jiayou (1059) and his date of death is unknown. Su Guo, styled Shu Dang, was the third son of Su Shi. At the age of nineteen, he passed the imperial examinations in Zhejiang with poetry and prose. When Su Shi was exiled to Dangzhou, Guo remained behind to wait for him. He lived in Yingchang, where he built a small boat-shaped pond spanning several acres, naming it "Xiao Xie Chuan." He called himself "Xiao Xie Jushi" and was known as "Xiao Po" and "Shu Dang." His calligraphy had an ancient and refined style, reflecting his father's influence. Shu Guo was born in the second year of Xining (1072) and died in the third year of Xuanhe (1123) at the age of fifty-two.
