Features: This book is primarily arranged according to the radical arrangement method of the Great Chinese Dictionary. It uses traditional characters. Therefore, if the first character "" (Fan) represents the surname "" (Fan), it is listed separately from the simplified character "" (Fan) in the phrase "" (model). Variant characters from ancient stone inscriptions are generally included under the corresponding standard characters. For example, "" (you) and "" (you) are primarily listed under the radical of "" (you). "" (pái) from "" (páihuái) and "" (pái) from "" (páiyōu) or "" (mángpái) are also pronounced the same as "" (pái). Originally, "" and "" were two separate characters. Ancient calligraphers often used "" to represent "" in "." This book determines their based on the original meaning of the inscriptions. In the ancient text Thousand Characters for Children, "" is generally written as "," while in Niu Kuan Zan, "" is written as "." This book arranges them under the radicals of "" (chàng) and "" (ní) based on visual methods. As an art reference book, the materials collected in this book are limited to photocopied editions of outstanding stone inscriptions. Characters from previously compiled works, such as those in Kai Fa Yuan Suo and other double-hooked, re-engraved compendiums, are excluded due to distortion.
