Features: Wang Xizhi's Preface to the Orchid Pavilion is renowned as the "Supreme Running Script." In the early Tang Dynasty, it was discovered by Emperor Taizong Li Shimin, who ordered Zhao Mo and Feng Chengsu to make copies. This edition is selected from Feng Chengsu's copy. Wang Xizhi's calligraphy is powerful, elegant, and vigorous, with an ever-changing style yet remaining natural. For this compilation, the editor spent months carefully selecting and comparing each character, considering their posture and inclination, to ensure both faithfulness to the original and the use of the original strokes without any substitutions. Additionally, computer technology was appropriately applied to achieve harmony, ultimately recreating the style of the Sage of Calligraphy for calligraphy enthusiasts to study and reference.
