Faced with the pursuit of Lan Dongchen, Zhong Xiaoyin, who learns of her own illness, begins to retreat and deliberately keeps him at a distance. This, however, causes more people to fall into pain. In an accident, Zhong Xiaoyin collapses at her doorstep, and after the incident, Lü Xin finally learns of Zhong Xiaoyin's secret of suffering from a terminal illness. Understanding Xiaoyin's thoughts, Lü Xin silently accompanies and cares for her, while Zhong Xiaoyin also hides her own feelings for Lan Dongchen, hoping to make him forget her. Just as everyone strives to maintain the normalcy of life, the hospital once again approaches Zhong Xiaoyin.
