Features: Since this photo album "Asia Hu Bing" by Hu Bing is his first time serving as the art director and creative director, he was particularly cautious. Even the captions and preface, Hu Bing specially invited talented writers and beauties from the mainland to help. The captions in "Asia Hu Bing" were written by Su Tong, the screenwriter of the film "Big Red Lantern," who had never collaborated with Hu Bing before, though they had long admired each other. Thanks to the publisher's introduction and Hu Bing's personal invitation, Su Tong readily agreed. Hu Bing also invited the stylish talent Jin Yu Xi from the mainland to write the preface. Although Hu Bing and Jin Yu Xi were acquainted, he still felt unsure when making the request. To his surprise, Jin Yu Xi readily accepted the invitation upon receiving it. The smooth process made the publisher joke, "As long as Hu Bing asks, everyone will agree to anything!" Hu Bing, on the other hand, breathed a sigh of relief and said, "Having the help of two major talents from the mainland has truly brought this work to a perfect conclusion!"
Hu Bing revealed that the photo album was actually completed in June, but as the art director, he rejected the art designer's drafts over 40 times in a short period, making the designer fear every call from Hu Bing. Smiling, Hu Bing said, "Perhaps I'm too perfectionistic—I always think it could be even better!" After visiting Notre-Dame, the Louvre, and the Centre Pompidou in France in early October, he suddenly had an inspiration. He hoped his photo album could be as exquisite and enduring as these hundred-year-old artworks. Thus, he decided to change the layout and adopt a bold, avant-garde color scheme, which further delayed the revision!
To ensure the photo album "Asia Hu Bing" could be released as soon as possible, Hu Bing flew from Hong Kong to Beijing during his two days off from filming to work overtime with the art designer. After 40 hours of discussion and selection, the photo album was finally finalized. Exhausted but undeterred, Hu Bing immediately flew back to Hong Kong to continue filming. His relentless work ethic prompted his agent to urge him to rest more, but Hu Bing cheerfully replied, "Nothing is more rewarding than completing the book!" This left all the staff exclaiming, "He's truly a workaholic!"
This photo album "Asia Hu Bing" underwent two years of preparation, with filming taking place in seven cities across five countries. Every detail reflects Hu Bing's dedication. He remains solemn and cautious about the release in late November, stating, "Like unveiling a dress I designed, of course, I'm nervous!" However, Hu Bing hopes everyone will see his effort and appreciate his work!
