Features: After years of hard work, the "New Chinese-Russian Translation Collection" (abbreviated as "Collection") has finally been published. We believe its release will bring benefits and convenience to readers. Currently available Russian dictionaries and grammar books, with their unique features in content, form, and compilation, are the crystallization of the wisdom of experts and scholars and are indispensable tools for learning Russian. However, some beginners in Russian, as well as some advanced learners, find that dictionaries and grammar books can help understand words and examples but are difficult to quickly memorize and use. Even some beginners who have mastered a certain number of vocabulary often struggle to translate simple sentences into Chinese and Russian. When they do, they frequently make mistakes, even significant ones. To address this issue, we attempted to compile a reference manual based on previous achievements, aiming to help Russian learners and workers quickly familiarize themselves with and memorize modern common expressions, enabling more accurate Chinese-Russian translation, and improving work efficiency and quality. This is the original intention behind creating the "Collection." To give readers a better understanding of the "Collection," here is a brief introduction.
1. Contemporary Relevance and Freshness: When selecting materials, we focused on contemporary China, prioritizing the compilation of expressions reflecting the reform and opening-up. Thus, the rich sense of the times and freshness of the book will naturally be appreciated by readers.
2. Comprehensiveness and Historical Perspective: As mentioned earlier, the "Collection" covers all aspects of contemporary China, with very rich content. To ensure relative completeness, we also selected and compiled statements related to modern and contemporary Chinese history and a general overview of geography, enabling people to gain a deeper understanding of China from both horizontal and vertical perspectives. This also facilitates relevant personnel in presenting their motherland more comprehensively and systematically.
3. Policy Orientation and Accuracy: Some important statements in the "Collection" are selected from "Selected Works of Deng Xiaoping," documents from Party Congresses and NPC sessions, speeches by central leaders, and important articles in newspapers and magazines. Therefore, the "Collection" not only reflects the Party's major policies and specific measures but also accurately represents the reality of contemporary China, as well as its past and future.
4. Repetition and Practicality: People often need to encounter a foreign phrase or sentence ten, twenty, or even dozens of times to become familiar with it and memorize it. Thus, in the compilation process, we intentionally increased the repetition rate, ensuring that sentences with similar word forms appear multiple times in the book.
