Mathematics education is an important component of human mathematical activities and educational activities, and it is closely related to the development of mathematics and the reform of education. In short, mathematics education develops alongside society and mainstream culture. In the context of mathematics education within the broad Chinese cultural background, it not only has a long history and profound tradition but also shares the common experience of "Western learning spreading eastward" after the 17th century. Therefore, studying the laws of mathematics education under this specific cultural background is essentially exploring and constructing theories of science education in different cultural contexts. Its significance extends beyond mere historical research. This book is a collection of papers from the 5th International Conference on the History and Education of Mathematics in the Chinese Cultural Circle and Neighboring Regions. The papers presented were all new research findings in these academic fields and hold high academic value. This book selects 29 representative papers.
