Features: After China's entry into the World Trade Organization, the development of the financial industry is facing new opportunities and challenges. The development of China's financial industry urgently needs a large number of professionals who not only master solid financial theoretical foundations but also dare to engage in practice and exploration. This places new demands on financial education. This book is a professional foundational textbook written for undergraduate students of finance in full-time general universities. To meet the needs of cultivating financial talent in the new strategic opportunity period, we strive to achieve the following goals in compiling this textbook:
First, through the study of this course, students should not only master the basic principles of money, banking, and financial markets but also gain an understanding of new developments and theoretical achievements in the field of money and banking. Second, in line with the requirements of quality-oriented education, we aim to cultivate students' ability to analyze practical issues in China's economic and financial reform and development using basic financial knowledge, theories, and methods. To this end, this book provides appendices at the end of each chapter reflecting China's financial system reform, new financial situations and issues globally, and other advancements in financial theory. Third, in terms of structural arrangement and content elaboration, we strive to lay a solid foundation, broaden perspectives, inspire innovation, and connect theory with practice. We also pay attention to incorporating the latest achievements, emphasizing the advanced practicality of theory and knowledge, and strive to break through and develop beyond the framework of existing similar textbooks. Additionally, each chapter concludes with a summary, key concepts, and review questions to facilitate student review and assessment.
