Features: Bandits would establish their own (unit) and call it "qiyu" (to start a unit). When starting a unit, a few leaders would cut their fingers, drip blood into a bowl of wine, light incense, and then drink a sip of wine. The leader would swear, "I have bowed to the ancestors and the four directions. From now on, our brothers will start a unit. I have set my own rules, and I will abide by them. If I break them, I will not live a good life. I will go to the front, shoot and kill with a gun, blast and kill with a cannon, choke to death on water, and die from choking on food!" Then the others would follow suit and swear the same oath.
