Features: In The House of Death, Amanda and Josie don't like the house their dad inherited from a mysterious great-grandfather. The house in Black Waterfall Town looks too dilapidated, and the siblings find it particularly strange. Sure enough, many inexplicable things happen after they move in—boys and girls' figures flashing on the stairs, curtains swaying in the dark, whispering and laughter in the darkness, and terrifying nightmares that drive Amanda to the brink of madness! All the signs indicate: the house is haunted! But their parents don't believe it's true; they think the kids are just adjusting to the new environment and that things will improve once they make new friends!
Far from the Basement: Dr. Brewer has been staying in the basement all day since being fired from his company, conducting plant experiments. He rarely spends time with his family. Margaret and Casey are very worried about their dad, but they're also curious about his experiments. When their dad is out, the siblings sneak into the basement. Accidentally, Casey gets "grabbed" tightly by a plant's leaves. Later, their dad locks the basement door every time he goes out. The siblings notice their dad is becoming more strange—his fingers are broken, and the blood flowing out is green; his hat falls off, revealing hair that has turned into green leaves. What exactly is happening? When their dad isn't home, the siblings pry open the basement door. To their astonishment and terror, they discover that their dad, who was supposed to be at the airport to pick up their mom, is somehow still in the basement.
