Publish Date: 2002-05-01
Features: This series of books has the following characteristics:
1. Appreciation: The main content of the series is selected quotations, poems, and excellent calligraphy works by renowned calligraphers, complemented by brief annotations. This allows learners not only to appreciate the beauty of the text but also to enjoy the charm of calligraphy through the comments of the calligraphers.
2. Knowledge: The series covers a wide range of knowledge related to calligraphy creation, with concise explanations and introductions provided by the authors.
3. Practicality: Calligraphy creation books are not only scarce but mostly published as individual volumes, with limited and non-systematic content that fails to meet the broader needs of learners. This series, however, strengthens practical aspects in both its overall planning and writing style, enhancing its utility. The "Selected Works" appended at the end serves as reference material for practice. The series includes "Quotations," "Poems," and "Couplets," each written in six calligraphic styles— Seal Script, Clerical Script, Wei Stele Script, Tang Regular Script, Running Script, and Cursive Script—comprising three sets of 20 volumes. Each volume contains 50 selected quotations, poems, and couplets from history, allowing learners to choose based on their preferences and practiced calligraphic styles.
