Features: The name of Christmas itself is full of charm. Only the language of Charles Dickens, not clumsy words, is worthy of describing it. However, looking back at the passing years, I still have to say that the winter solstice in my youth is more cherished than the Christmas of recent years. For example, at the end of the last century, when Queen Victoria was still on the throne and the world was at peace, Christmas was indeed a charming time. The geese fattened gradually from the beginning of Michaelmas were longed for by the whole family, as well as the steaming hot pies and the hot brandy. After the feast, the family, who were overjoyed, gathered around the fire, singing old songs and repeating old jokes countless times, while the many romantic encounters gave rise to a new generation. The story takes place in the early 1890s, and the annual Christmas is approaching again. Even a serious and stern doctor like me looks forward to work with excitement. Of course, among the people, there are inevitably Scrooge-like misers who are indifferent to the upcoming celebrations. Based on experience, one of them is my friend Sherlock Holmes. Risking the danger of being mocked when meeting, I decided to visit the old house on Baker Street and extend my holiday greetings to Holmes.
