Features: I think I must stop exposing my inner world. It makes me uneasy and is more likely to trap me in a self-pity trap. I have to say that the only thing we can do when we come into this world is "to be responsible for ourselves." I believe that in most cases, the suffering a person endures is necessarily related to the joy they receive. Since I chose to enjoy the boundless song of the mermaid, I should also bear the corresponding sense of emptiness. Like my writing, it is primarily to satisfy myself, and other influences are merely accidental. Shortly after Bloch ended his 20-year journey of happiness and toil, Michel Foucault began his regular lectures at the Collège de France. These lectures were eventually compiled into the book Must Defend Society. Similarly, in the preface of the book, the overly sensitive and melancholic Foucault said that after each lecture, as he watched the crowd disperse, he felt as if he were a lonely sperm whale swimming deep in the ocean, longing for someone to chat with him about trivial matters. Well, I would rather see myself as a sperm whale who loves music. I must end this preface before denying this metaphor, as I don’t want to start over—it has already made me restless all day.
