Author: Proceedings of the International Symposium on Accounting and Financial Theory of Listed Companies, Renmin University of China
Publisher:
Publishing Date: 2004-08-01
Features: This symposium received over 80 papers in both Chinese and English from domestic and international scholars. The papers primarily addressed issues related to the accounting, finance, and auditing of listed companies, as well as emerging fields in accounting such as value chain accounting and forensic accounting. After the symposium, the secretariat selected and compiled the submitted papers, ultimately choosing 50 for publication. We have organized these papers into five sections: "New Fields in Accounting," "Research on Financial Issues of Listed Companies," "Research on Financial Accounting Issues of Listed Companies," "Research on Auditing Issues," and "Management Accounting and Tax Accounting." Many of the papers included are the authors' latest revised drafts. To respect the authors and maintain the original style, we did not translate the English submissions. Professor Yan Dawu of Renmin University of China paid close attention to this symposium and submitted a paper, but unfortunately, due to illness, he was unable to attend. Even more sorrowfully, he passed away on November 2, 2003. Professor Yan had always been dedicated to the reform and development of China's accounting profession and cared deeply about the construction and improvement of Renmin University of China's accounting discipline. We hope that the publication of this proceedings will bring solace to his spirit in the afterlife.
