Features: Publishing a collection of one's works as a whole is something I believe every writer dreams of. When such a series of works appears on a bookshelf, the writer feels that his writing and imagination begin to unify and take shape, becoming clear at a glance. I am grateful to Shanghai Literature and Art Publishing House and Mr. Jie Shi Pei for helping me realize this dream, making the "Yu Hua Works Series" possible. Now, all my works are with Shanghai Literature and Art Publishing House, and the new ones I earn will be added to it gradually. What I mean is that this is an open series of works, including all my past works and all my future works. These short stories and novellas record another path of my life. Unlike the real path of life, it has the possibility of being
