Features: This examination syllabus is divided into nine levels, with levels and 2 being beginner-level; levels 4, 5, and 6 are intermediate; levels 7 and 8 are advanced. After level 9, our institution has set an additional performance diploma level, which exceeds the highest level set by all domestic examination institutions and reaches a performance level suitable for professional development. The writing of this examination syllabus has the following characteristics:
1. Each level has prescribed etudes for examination, progressing from simple to complex, systematically training the conventional techniques of the dizi and helping candidates build a solid foundation. In the early stages, the repertoire includes folk songs, short pieces, and parts for small ensembles; while in the intermediate to advanced stages, it features dizi solos in various styles.
2. A combination of practicality and fun. The writing and selection of etudes are primarily aimed at training various techniques of the dizi, while also considering the boredom learners may feel during practice. Therefore, most etudes have melodic qualities, making them more effective when performed as short pieces or mini-musics.
3. Modern works are incorporated into the advanced-level training. Candidates can broaden their artistic horizons and understand the development of the dizi, making their learning richer and more comprehensive to meet the needs of modern society.
4. For the repertoire section, each piece includes performance suggestions, explaining the technical highlights of different styles to help candidates accurately convey the basic content of the pieces within limited practice time.
We hope that dizi learners will continue to strive and make progress, successfully pass all levels of examinations, and achieve greater accomplishments in their future dizi studies.
