The Muedie Lixuan Mию (Pulse Techniques: Secrets of the Profound Universe) by Liu Kai of the Southern Song Dynasty is available in several different versions in China, and this volume includes the Korean Jiajing edition of Liu Kai's Muedie Lixuan Mию. The Zhuanmai Xunzhi (Essential Notes on Pulse Diagnosis) has an unclear original compiler, but it contains the content of lost pulse books such as Wu Hong's Mufu Jieyi (Interpretation of the Pulse Odes) from the Song Dynasty and Cai Yuanding's Mujing (Pulse Classic). The Jieggu Laoren Zhù Wangshuo Muedie (Annotations on Wang Shuo's Pulse Techniques by the Elder of Jieggu) by Zhang Yuansu and his son is an important work reflecting their academic thoughts. The Wangshuo Muedie Tuhao Sujie Dahan (Comprehensive Illustrations and Simplified Explanations of Wang Shuo's Pulse Techniques) by Xiong Zongli of the Ming Dynasty was a significant text on pulse diagnosis in the early Ming period. The Wangse Qimi (Revelations in Inspecting Color) by Jiang Yuanji of the Qing Dynasty is the earliest known book dedicated exclusively to inspecting color diagnosis. Additionally, Jiang's medical case and theory works, Yiyi Shang (Discussions on Medical Intentions), and his epidemic-focused Shanghan Yi (Companion to Shanghan Treatise), are also included in this volume.
