The purpose of this book is to serve design students who need to build a solid foundation in design, as well as candidates preparing to take exams for design-related programs. Most faculty members and graduate students from our School of Design have been involved in the writing of this foundational design principles series for many years. With years of teaching experience, most of them have studied at renowned domestic institutions such as the Central Academy of Fine Arts and Tongji University, possessing both strong theoretical foundations and extensive practical experience. They form a dynamic and dedicated team. This series of foundational design principles compiles their years of teaching and research achievements.
