Features: For this exhibition, nearly three thousand submitted works were received, with authors spanning all provinces, municipalities, and regions such as Hong Kong and Macau in China. In mid-November 1997, a review committee composed of members of the Seal Carving Art Committee of the China Calligraphers Association conducted a thorough evaluation of all the submissions. A total of 296 works were selected for exhibition, and 263 were chosen for inclusion. These works fully reflect the further exploration and reference to the traditional art of seal carving by Chinese seal carvers over the past three years, demonstrating the efforts of contemporary seal carvers in incorporating the spirit of the times and their individual characteristics into their works.
