They have not only become indispensable tools for people's work, study, life, and entertainment but are also becoming an important pillar and catalyst for humanity to enter the information society. As a result, people have elevated the computer education and popularization of the public to the level of computer culture. As college students, mastering the basics of computer culture is the minimum requirement to enter the information society. The ultimate goal of learning computer culture is application. Experience has proven that practical hands-on operation is the foundation and shortcut for application after grasping the necessary theory. Only through actual hands-on experiments can one deeply understand and firmly master the theoretical knowledge learned. To support various versions of computer culture foundation textbooks and various forms of computer proficiency exams (beginner level), we have written this book specifically designed to enhance students' practical skills, titled "Information Technology Basic Skills Training Tutorial." This book is a public course textbook for higher vocational and technical education, meeting the basic requirements for computer teaching of non-computer professionals proposed by the Ministry of Education. It is written by teaching staff with long-term experience in computer training and tutoring, primarily used for intensive training in computer culture foundation skills. This book is a computer operation skills training tutorial to textbooks such as "Computer Application Basics," "Computer Culture Basics Tutorial," and "Computer Information Technology Basics," as well as an experimental guidebook for students learning computer fundamentals. The book is divided into 8 chapters, focusing on introducing key points of computer basics, Windows 98, Word 2000, Excel 2000, PowerPoint 2000, FrontPage 2000, as well as computer networks and the Internet, along with hands-on operation guidance. It includes more than 30 training projects, each with clear training objectives and requirements, specific training processes, and a certain number of assignments and quizzes at the end of each skill training section. This book is highly targeted and operational, emphasizing the cultivation of students' practical skills. It serves as a powerful assistant for students to quickly learn and master computer fundamentals, especially for those preparing for various types of computer proficiency exams (beginner level). After appropriate theoretical learning, practicing according to the training plan in this book will yield twice the result with half the effort.
