Features: When it comes to China's industry-specific publications, there are many ups and downs and sorrows. In fact, internationally, there is no such term as "industry-specific publications," nor is there a category for them. Industry-specific publications are a product of China's specific historical conditions. At one time, the variety of China's industry-specific publications was unmatched in the world. Now, as the industry-specific publications industry, which has always been nurtured by various government departments in China and has been shouting "reform" and "market economy," faces the fierce waves of the market economy, its future is uncertain, drawing attention from all sectors and causing anxiety among industry professionals. Looking ahead, as Cui Enliao, the current editor-in-chief of "Beijing Entertainment News" and former editor-in-chief of "Beijing Youth News," recently pointed out, the next decade will be a period of rapid development for mainstream publications. Therefore, China's industry-specific publications must break free from the misconception of being confined to a single industry and move towards the path of mainstream publications. Industry-specific publications are born from industries and rise and fall with the prosperity and decline of those industries. After the central government repeatedly emphasized crackdowns on the proliferation of publications and prohibited the issuance of publications using official power, they face another policy survival challenge. For most industry-specific publications lacking a market economy, there is a significant gap in talent, concepts, mechanisms, and other aspects compared to other publications. Therefore, after passing the policy hurdle, the market survival challenge will undoubtedly be even more severe. Accelerating reform and strengthening management innovation have become an unavoidable choice for industry-specific publications. Only through "self-revolution," can China's industry-specific publications continue to leverage the credibility and authority formed under historical conditions, while also finding solutions in the market and seeking development through competition, to have a chance to emerge and achieve healthy development.
