Features: This is a comprehensive and practical wind band teaching series in China, covering all eleven sections of the wind band and ensemble training. Subsequently, the published ensemble and chamber music composition collections have enriched the repertoire for various types of ensemble and chamber music performances. It is the result of close collaboration between dozens of wind band experts and several music editors, who dedicated years of effort and revised it three times, meticulously crafting this work. Our efforts are driven by a single goal—to make both the solo and ensemble editions the best. Our writing philosophy is to integrate contemporary international wind band teaching concepts, starting from the practical realities of wind band education in China, writing as we teach, with little theoretical analysis or discussion. Emphasis is placed on intuitiveness and operability. The text and exercise examples are designed to be concise and accurate, leaving no room for ambiguity. Accompanied by audio-visual teaching materials, this series aims to achieve self-teaching effectiveness. The training content of Ensemble Class begins after the 13th lesson of each section, with one ensemble lesson inserted every two lessons in the solo sections. It also provides separate scores for ensemble lessons, greatly facilitating the implementation of ensemble classes. Here, we sincerely thank all the experts, predecessors, and friends from various sectors who have shown concern, support, and enthusiastic guidance. Special thanks are extended to Mr. Fu Gengchen, Chairman of the China Music Association, for his affirmation and support.
