Following students' cognitive patterns, the book starts with words and gradually cultivates sentence-writing and paragraph-organizing skills. It includes examples of writing guidance for various English writing styles in middle school, preparing students for the basics (Part A), building a foundation (Part B) with essential vocabulary, sentence-writing, and paragraph-organizing techniques, and finally guiding students to write essays (Part C) with refined examples of various writing styles. The book also provides adequate exercises to help students systematically and comprehensively improve their writing skills, ultimately developing their preliminary English writing abilities.
Most of the writing examples and exercises in this book are selected from recent two years' middle school entrance examination (MSE) from various provinces and cities across China. After studying them, students can get a feel for the style of English writing in the MSE and enhance their test-taking skills.
