Features: The study focuses on legal literature, which can either emphasize unique literary phenomena and patterns or delve into the legal ideological significance within. Regarding the former, my preface to the book Lu Xun and Law, titled Law: A Universal Perspective in Literary Studies, has already provided a detailed discussion. Now, taking this opportunity, I will further explore the systematic study of the legal ideological significance in literature, specifically its legal cognitive value.
Focusing on the legal cognitive value of legal literature across ancient and modern times, both within and beyond China, it becomes evident that literature is a universal perspective in literary studies. A theoretical system that examines and interprets law from a literary perspective can be termed literary jurisprudence. This represents the theoretical destination of research outcomes under the literary perspective. My book The Intersection of Law and Literature has preliminarily discussed the concept, object, and scope of literary jurisprudence. Now, it appears that much remains to be elaborated. Here, I will provide further clarification on several aspects of literary jurisprudence.
