Features: The book "IELTS Test Skills Training Course·Reading" has been published for over two years. During these two years, I have continued to engage in IELTS exam training, naturally paying attention to the various developments and changes in the exam. The IELTS courses offered by the Department of Overseas Training at Beijing Language and Culture University are designed according to the several components of the exam, including listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The course design and teaching content have been well-recognized by the students. However, many people who cannot attend our training courses often ask: Is there a comprehensive textbook? This book consists of five chapters. The first chapter introduces relevant matters of the IELTS (IELTS) exam, while the second to fifth chapters correspond to the listening, speaking, reading, and writing sections of the test, respectively. Each chapter first introduces the exam situation and requirements for that section, then tells readers how to prepare for the exam and what they should pay attention to or avoid, followed by exercises. This book is tailored to the new types of questions in the IELTS exam. Its feature is the combination of theory and practice, with an emphasis on guiding candidates to correctly understand the purpose and intent of the exam to grasp its key focus. The content of the explanations is the crystallization of the author's ten years of IELTS training experience, including many valuable insights and lessons learned from past candidates. These are of practical value to the candidates.
