Features: What is humanism? What is the spirit of humanism? Many people have their own opinions, but the fruits they have achieved are not many, and those with truly independent philosophical thinking and vivid content are also not many. However, Zhou Guoping undoubtedly stands as a scholar representing the spirit of humanism. This scholar is both a philosopher and a poet. He writes his philosophical reflections in the style of prose and uses philosophical thinking to permeate his literary writing. This selected collection will guide us to spend more time reading and reflecting. The book is divided into four parts.
Part 1 is Prose, referring only to individual prose pieces, accounting for about half of the book's length. They are arranged in chronological order and grouped, selected from Guarding at a Distance, Each Person's Pilgrimage Road, and Quiet. The 18 recent pieces are those that have never been collected.
Part 2 is Notes, referring to a series of articles or thought notes written around a specific theme, including five groups: New Continent (selected from Notes of a Father on His Daughter, Niu Niu), Fables of Life, Spiritual Homeland, Thoughts on George Island, and Notes on Reading the Bible.
Part 3 is Random Thoughts, referring to the collection of fragmented thoughts, selected from Man and Eternity and Shredded Paper in the Wind.
Part 4 is Poetry, selected from the earlier published poetry collection Melancholy Passions.
