Features: This is the story of the struggle of the "Black and White Banner" peasant uprising army in Xianyou, Fujian. In 1853, the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom captured Nanjing, igniting a nationwide peasant revolution. Lin Jun of Fujian rose in rebellion in Yongchun, consecutively capturing several counties in Southern Fujian. The Xianyou magistrate and landlords, deeply afraid that the revolutionary flames would spread to their county, took advantage of the drought and famine at the time and the feudal village regulations and clan laws to incite peasant armed conflicts. However, under the harsh reality, the peasants finally awakened. They raised their flags, united, and struck a decisive blow against the feudal ruling class, writing a glorious page in the history of Fujian's peasant revolution.
