Features: Anesthesia in China has undergone decades of effort by several generations and became a secondary discipline of medical clinical science in the 1980s. Since then, the discipline of anesthesia has rapidly developed in terms of personnel, equipment, and technology. The establishment of undergraduate anesthesia departments and the training of a large number of master's and doctoral students have further fostered a generation of talented professionals, yielding fruitful achievements in medical treatment, teaching, and research. The academic level and status of anesthesia have reached unprecedented heights, making it a truly significant clinical discipline. The publication of anesthesia (monographs) has flourished like bamboo shoots after rain, playing an invaluable role in the learning and improvement of anesthesia professionals at all levels.
Further training is also one of the important means to enhance the quality of the anesthesia professional team. However, until now, there has been no reference book primarily aimed at resident physicians. Therefore, taking advantage of Hunan Science and Technology Press's organization of the 《Clinical Physicians Further Training Series》, we attempted to edit this 《Clinical Anesthesia Further Training Handbook》 to serve as a reference for anesthesia resident physicians. It is also suitable for internship physicians, resident physicians, attending physicians, and medical professionals at all levels in grassroots hospitals.
