Features: Feeling down, as if a disaster is about to strike. You fear going to school, mainly because you fear learning. To be more precise, it's that you don't know how to learn, right? Don't envy the top students—have you ever thought that you could also excel in your studies? You can, and you definitely can. The key to good grades lies in whether you know how to learn. In fact, I've long summarized a formula for success: W = X + Y + Z (Success = Hard Work + Correct Methods + Less Wasted Words). Less wasted words—you're surely capable of that. Perhaps you're also hardworking, but can you be sure that your current learning methods are correct? Learning methods, in fact, determine your grades. Methods are the tools to conquer the unknown. A logger can only cut one big tree with an axe in the morning, but with a chainsaw, it's done in 10 minutes. If you don't have a good method, even if you study hard every day, you won't achieve good results. That's why you often see people who spend all day with books and thick glasses, yet they fail miserably in exams. Why? Because their learning methods are wrong. However, I must admit that my grades were terrible when I was young, also because I didn't master the right learning methods. If I had read some books about how to learn back then, my grades wouldn't have been so bad. Besides methods, I also want to talk about interest. You must be interested in what you're learning, otherwise you'll feel very unhappy. Good methods, guided by interest, will yield twice the result. I once explained relativity like this: On a train, if you sit facing a beautiful lady, it feels like only 10 minutes have passed after an hour, but if you're facing a blazing furnace, 10 minutes feel like an hour. Why is that? We're always eager to immerse ourselves in things we're interested in, while feeling restless about things we're not. When you're in a good mood, your learning efficiency is several times better than usual, and you remember things better. If you treat learning like a "furnace," you'll feel as if each class is an eternity. Only those who know how to learn can enjoy the joy of learning. Only by learning in happiness can we become smarter. God always rewards the clever ones who walk ahead of others—the future you. Love learning, young people!
